O Arglwydd gwna fi'n golofn gre'

(Gweddi am gynnorthwyon grasol Duw)
O Arglwydd, gwna fi'n golofn gre',
Ac yn dy deml dod imi le,
  I lynu wrthyt ti yn lân,
  Y 'mhob rhyw drallod,
      fawr a mân.

Dal fi fy Nuw, dal fi i'r làn,
'N enwedig dal fi lle'r wy'n wan:
  Dal fi yn gryf, nes myn'd i maes
  O'r byd sy'n llawn
      o bechod cas.

Dysg fi, fy Nuw, dysg fi pa fodd
I ddweud a gwneuthur wrth dy fodd;
  Dysg fi ryfela â'r
      ddraig heb goll,
  Ac i orchfygu 'mhechod oll.

Tra caffwyf rodio'r ddaear hon,
Rho'th hedd fel afon
    dan fy mron;
  Ac yn y diwedd moes dy law
  I'm dwyn i mewn i'r nefoedd draw.

(Prayer for the gracious helps of God)
O Lord, make me a strong pillar,
And in thy temple give me a place,
  To stick to thee completely,
  In every kind of trouble,
      great and small.

Hold me, my God, hold me up,
Especially hold me where I am weak:
  Hold me strongly, until I go out
  From the world which is full
      of detestable sin.

Teach me, my God, teach me how
To speak and act according to thy will;
  Teach me to wage war with the
      dragon without losing,
  And to overcome all my sins.

While I get to walk this earth,
Give thy peace like a river
    under my breast;
  And at the end give thy hand
  To lead me into yonder heaven.
